We fell in love with local products and their flavours

“Here at Kuortane Olympic Training Center we use the unflavoured cold pressed base oil in 10 litre canisters, as well as chili, basil and lemon oils in bottles that are available at our seasoning table.

We chose products from Alavuden Öljynpuristamo because we appreciate local ingredients and authentic flavours. We tested the oils with a variety of ingredients and applications. We have always offered a herb oil as a salad dressing in our buffet, and we changed its base to cold pressed Turnip rapeseed oil. Consumption is high and the feedback has been excellent. The flavoured oils are also used in our à la carte dishes.

The response has been entirely positive. Guests even ask for the recipe for our herb oil.

My personal favourites are the lemon oil and garlic oil. The basil oil has a beautiful colour and adds visual appeal to plates, and the chili oil does the same. All products are high quality.”

“We started using the products from Alavuden Öljynpuristamo through the Luomutetaan Ruokapalvelut project, after I learned about them in an organic product information event.

We use Turnip rapeseed oil every day in both cooking and baking. At the salad table we also serve cold pressed organic Turnip rapeseed oil, along with lemon and garlic flavoured oils.

Customers have really enjoyed the oils. Thanks to this oil, our salad dressing now has a wonderful golden colour and rich aroma. Even our pancake batter turns a beautiful golden yellow.”
